Know your Customer Avatar

This is my 2nd article in the series of Digital Deepak Internship Assignment. You can find my first article here
In this article, I am going to share my learnings about customer demography in the 2nd class of Digital Deepak Internship Programme.
I know you eagerly want to know about Digital Deepak as I pronounce this name again and again so here it is………………
Who is Digital Deepak
In search of a good mentor, I find Mr. Deepak Kanakaraju as my mentor. Deepak Kanakaraju is one of the best digital marketers in India. He is also a blogger, influencer, and trainer. He has some successful ventures under their name which are www.pixeltrack.com www.digitaldeepak.com www.nowfit.com and many more. He has an amazing skill for explaining things with a real-life example. He had experience in managing major brands like Instamojo, Razorpay, etc.
Here are the key learnings from my 2nd class
Rule of Golden Triangle:
At the very start of the class, Deepak sir makes us aware of the magical term golden triangle. So the question, what is the golden triangle. It is not any triangle made up of gold, it is the formula for getting success in the Internet Lifestyle.

Deepak sir conveyed to us his experience that how he established himself as a mentor. Firstly, he learned about digital marketing then start implementing his learnings into various platforms and add a few major ventures under their name www.digitaldeepak.com www.pixeltrack.com.
After doing all this they started his life as a digital marketing mentor as according to him when you teach someone you understand things in a better way.
Mistakes Are Future Benefits:
In our entire life, we have been taught never be fail, If you fail you can not succeed in your life. This is the main reason that is why we are not able to face our mistakes but mistakes and the failure are the part of life.
According to Deepak sir, If you never be failed in your life you were not able to realize the value of that.
One must take care of their mistake but unfortunately, if it happens, it could be a great source of learning.
Marketing is about Good communication
It is always said by every renowned marketer that your communication skill is directly proportional to marketing. In marketing, we have to go and face a bunch of people with different mindsets and trying to communicate with all of them.
Doing 1:1 conversation is the best way to achieve the milestone of 1: many. If you are not able to converse well in 1:1, you can not converse well in 1:many.
Digital Platform provides us this opportunity to communicate 1:1 with hundreds of people like Deepak sir does in his every webinar. He interacts 1:1 with everyone present in his webinar.

Be authentic to communicate better
We live in a world where people disguise their behavior from time to time to reach on the apex of that file. Nowadays peoples are tired of fake people and their fake stories.
Authenticity is the key to achieve permanent success in life and it helps to communicate with people in a better way. People always try to trust an authentic person so it can be beneficial for building mass trust
Everyone is attracted to someone real. So always try to communicate with people from the real stories, not the Artificial one.
Always remember “Be Genuine, Be Yourself”
It is true that people with better life experience are better marketers. It is often seen by many marketers that people with less experience try to entice their customers with their fake stories.
So it becomes a necessity for every marketer to explore a better life experience, by traveling as much as you can. Traveling helps us to explore and exchange other cultures with ours.
Always try to learn something new in your life it can be cooking or biking or gardening or learning some musical instruments whatever it is but always try to learn. Do new things all the time
Be open-minded and flexible with your audience
Who is your Audience
This is the most important step for any of the marketers knowing about the audience helps us to prepare ourselves according to them.
Marketers also are used to creating a target audience. They use the audience demography and Psychology
Using these two they create the Customer Avatar that helps them for targeting the specific audience for their products and services.
This is the same technique used by many big companies also for making and selling their products.

Your Target Customer Avatar
So…. What is the customer avatar. Basically customer avatar is the set of your targeted audience and it helps us to understand the demography and psychology
There are many approaches to creating your customer avatar. It just not limited to one or two methods.
I did the survey to understand my targeted audience.
In the survey, I put 20 questions into the google form in which 5 are personal questions like Name, age, etc. With the help of this survey, I can understand the need and demography my audience
So let’s go through this question and try to find out my customer avatar
1. Understanding Demography
According to the survey, the average age of my customers is 21. So the age of my customer avatar is 21
The nest question I asked, what is your gender, and the average results come in favor of men. So the average gender of my customer avatar is Male.
All of my customers are living in my state which is U.P. So the average place of my customer avatar is U.P
The average answer to this question is graduation. So the average eduction of my customer avatar is Graduation
2. Understanding Interest
. Best Film Industry
This is the question asked by me to know the interest of my audience in films and the average interest of my customer avatar is in Bollywood.
. The best social media platform
My majority of the audience loves Instagram. So the average interesting social media platform in my customer avatar is Instagram.
. Fitness lover
In my audience, the majority of the fitness freak. My average customer Avatar is a Fitness Freak.
My average customer avatar is a traveling lover.
3. Understanding my subject
. Do you play any Sports
It is an amazing result as 100% of my customers are a sports player. So here my customer avatar is a sports player
4. Understanding Characteristics
. Are you, backbencher
It is the very trigger question asked by me. The majority of my customers are a backbencher Hence for my avatar’s characteristic, I can add that they are backbencher
. You are early bird or night owl
Here the result is very confusing as 50% of my audience is an early bird and 50% is a night owl. So here it is a bit difficult to reach any result.
5. Understanding the Acceptability of Digital Mode
. Which operating system do you use for laptop
This is a very simple question asked just checking how much they active digitally. So for my avatar, I can add they use windows as in the majority
. Which operating system do you use for mobile
For my avatar I can add, they are android users.

Customer Avatar is a practical concept and the best way to understand your audience.
So while building your customer avatar one should keep in mind that always focus on the center expects the borderline.
Determine the average of the customer avatar by targeting and being a bit flexible over the result.
Awkwardness is an indicator of learning
Challenge what you already know and create new beliefs and the way of thinking. Always try to come out of your comfort zone.
So, awkwardness creates a new path in your mindset.
